The two buildings, erected after the Pombaline reconstruction, are located in a pedestrian street, in the heart of Lisbon (between Praça dos Restauradores and Portas de Santo Antão), in one of the main areas of tourism, commerce, business and entertainment.

The reconstruction of the two buildings with different constructive characteristics and construction periods gave two types of architectural and structural intervention. In the building situated in Rua do Jardim do Regedor, the most significant architectural concepts and elements of the building were respected, namely the facade, existing volume and the rehabilitation of other structural elements, replacing and using the original materials whenever possible. Floors and walls were recovered and, whenever necessary, a renovation or new elements were inserted with the existing construction systems. In the building situated at Travessa do Forno, with only three floors, had a deeper intervention with modern construction processes and a dynamic and innovative roof design.

The project maintained the uses of hotel and small street commerce. The set of two buildings have a total of 71 rooms, common areas and support infrastructure.
