Carniceiro is not a steakhouse, but meat is the star on the menu at Zero Box Lodge’s restaurant in Porto.
The open grill, inspired by the Basque restaurant Asador Etxebarri, is one of the added value of the restaurant where you can take a look at the meat showcase to select the meal.
Although meat is one of the main ingredients of the menu, the focus is on dishes to share, such as hot marrow with mustard and watercress, tuna with yuzu, soy and courgette or cockles on the plate.
Located on the ground floor of the building, Carniceiro is well accompanied by the Big Bad Bank bar or a library dedicated to national letters, with emphasis on the writer Gonçalo M. Tavares, with his books translated into several languages.
